How to Put a Harness on Your Dog?

1. Understanding the harness
Before you try to put the harness on your dog, you must observe and understand its mechanism. Look at the position of the buckles and the location of the metal ring for the strap. Identify the parts of the harness that allow you to adjust your size.
2.Prepare your dog
It is very important that you prepare your dog before trying to put the harness on him. Make sure your dog is calm. Show him the harness, leting him get used to its presence, otherwise he might be frightened when you try to wear it the first time. When you see that your dog have become familiar with the harness, put your dog on its four legs.

3.Put it on
To simplify the process of putting a harness on your dog, we will divide it into three parts:
Get in position
If your dog is quiet, put yourself in front of him to put the puppy harness vest on. If your dog is nervous, stand up and hold your dog between your legs (do not hurt him by pressing too hard) to restrict his movements.

Put the harness

Adjust the harness
Make sure the harness is not too loose; Otherwise, your dog will simply get rid of it. It should not be too tight, as it can hurt your dog. As we mentioned before, the comfort of your dog is very important. Adjust the harness so that it fits perfectly.

Your dog may not get used to the harness right away, give him some time to get used to it. These instructions refer to the use of a basic harness, but there may be minor changes in the placement process of other more complex harnesses.
