Ten tips to take care of your new puppy

The arrival of a puppy to the home is a moment full of life and joy. For that reason, anguish and doubt about how to do the best for puppy development should not prevail. For this, one of experts from A Pet Care of Colombia, advises that the arrival of the puppy is one of the best memories in the family life:
1. Everyone should know that a new member is arriving, therefore, it is recommended to assign tasks to different family members for their care.
2. Prepare a place for the puppy where he can find his bed to rest when required. This place should always be protected from inclement weather.
3 . Indicates and teaches the puppy the place where he needs to stay . This process is not as fast as we would like, and that is why it must be done with patience and dedication.
4. Have fresh and clean water at your disposal , and toys. So it will have fun with toys and not with the furniture of the home.
5. Take it out with dog carriers to the veterinarian or to monitor your health and establish your immunization schedule that may vary on the area of the country where you are. It is essential to deworm it according to the indications of the veterinarian, since a single disease can affect the health of the whole family.
6. Keep and have the vaccination card on hand since this document is key to remember the dates in which you must take the veterinarian for the respective medical follow-up.
7. Adequate food in  dog bowls should be provided for your puppy.  And it is recommended to choose according to your age, lifestyle and race. That is why you should keep in mind that dogs of small breeds need food for puppies up to 12 months, medium dogs up to 15 months and large dogs up to 18 months, as their growth takes longer.
8. The frequency of meals should be 3 times a day between 2 and 8 months, always at the same times, and should be left for 20 minutes so you do not get used to eating all day. From 8 months on, you can start giving food twice a day and, at the recommended age, make the transition to adults.
9. Pass it at least 3 times a week for 20 minutes , and supplement this routine with brief exits. Do not take long walks to puppies with led dog collar because they will tired easily, and do not make them run immediately after they have eaten because this could cause digestive problems.
10. It is advisable to bathe it once a month . Use warm water and special dog shampoo or soap to protect its delicate hair. If your dog has long hair, stop it every three days so that it does not become tangled; And if you have short hair, combing it once a week may be enough.

Although small aquariums are also marketed, they are not a good option. A larger aquarium is easier to maintain, especially when it comes to water treatment and getting an acceptable temperature for fish.

2. Regularly wash the cheap canister filter , but not with tap water, as it contains chlorine and will kill the beneficial bacteria.

3.Make partial changes of water frequently, at least 25% per month. It is better to change the water in small amounts, although more often, for example, 10-15% per week would be ideal.

4.Do not overfeed the fish, since the food decomposes and is very harmful to the water of the aquarium. And dont forget to feed them even you just feed them in small amounts in an interval of 2 to 3 times a day. Of course, in case of the situation of forgetting to feed them, you can buy an automatic fish feeder.

6. Observe the fish before buying. Make sure there are no signs of illness or injury. In addition, observe whether they swim relaxed without difficulty.
7. Gradually introduce new fish into your new home. The transport bag of the animals must remain for 15 or 20 minutes floating in the water of the aquarium, with that the temperature will be equal. Do not add the water used for transportation in your aquarium. Drain the bag into a bowl, through a grate, and as the animals get trapped in the grate, insert them into the urn.

8. Understand the cycling process and the new aquarium syndrome.

9. If the aquarium is used for the first time, add the fish after a certain time, at least one month, and it is necessary that water ripens and bacteria are believed beneficial to the subsistence of animals.
